Jones scores twice in victory over Gaels

The Ontario Tech women's hockey team welcomed the Queen's Gaels to Oshawa and picked up a 4-2 win on Friday night.

After trailing by one going into the second, Ridgebacks' captain Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.) evened the score just over a minute into the period. Just six minutes later, Katie Mikkelsen (Oshawa, Ont.) gave Ontario Tech the lead.

After Queen's evened the score at two less than a minute later, Harrie Jones (Ottawa, Ont.) beat the second-period horn and gave the Ridgebacks a one-goal lead at the 19:59 mark.
 
Jones would score her second of the game with just over five minutes left in the third to secure the victory. Ridgebacks' goalie Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) made 16 saves in Friday night's action.

The Ridgebacks' next game will be on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Kingston for a rematch against the Queen's Gaels. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
