It was a good night in Oshawa for the Ontario Tech men's hockey team on Friday as they picked up a 3-2 overtime win against the Carleton Ravens.
Jeremy Michaud (Victoriaville, Que.) and
Sean Ross (Bracebridge, Ont.) both scored in the first period giving the Ridgebacks an early two-goal lead over the Ravens.
Only one goal was scored during the second period by Carleton's Garrett Wright.
Early into the third period, Carleton's Alexandre Hogue tied up the game where it remained until the end of regulation.
After a short two minutes and 30 seconds of overtime,
Andrew Suriyuth (Kingston, Ont.) grabbed the game-winning goal.
In net,
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) made 34 saves.
The Ridgebacks remain at the Campus Ice Centre for their next game against Ottawa, Saturday night at 7 p.m.
