The Ontario Tech men's basketball program traveled to Edmonton over the Thanksgiving weekend, playing three games in as many days.
Starting the weekend off, they had a narrow 78-74 loss to the MacEwan Griffins. Ontario Tech led 31-23 at half, with the Griffins coming from behind in the second half.
AJ Cummings led the Ridgebacks with 20 points.
Levi Ogbonna finished with 14, while
Ba-Amara Djame and
D'on Duncan also finished in double digits with 10 points apiece.
Cummings continued to lead Ontario Tech offensively in their 90-65 loss to the Alberta Golden Bears. He scored a weekend-high 24 points.
Stefan Prica and Ogbonna finished with 15 and 14 points respectively. Ogbonna also had four assists in the Saturday loss.
To wrap up the road trip, the UNBC Timberwolves picked up a 71-56 over Ontario Tech. Cummings once again led the team in scoring with 13 points, which was matched by Prica who also had four assists.
Djame finished the night with 12 boards, a weekend-high for the Ridgebacks.
This wraps up the team's preseason, as they will now prepare to open their OUA season at home on Thursday, Nov. 3 against the Nipissing Lakers.
