Tombe Pitia (Kitchener, Ont.) made an immediate impact in his OUA debut against the Nipissing Lakers, dropping 22 points with 10 boards. 

Unfortunately for the Ridgebacks, they fell 75-65 in their season opener in Oshawa to the Nipissing Lakers. 

Adding to his successful night, Pitia also picked up a block and two steals. 

Offensively three other Ridgebacks were in double-digit scoring with Jayden Coke (Ajax, Ont.), AJ Cummings (Ajax, Ont.) and Levi Ogbonna (Toronto, Ont.) scoring 14, 13 and 12 points respectively. 

The Lakers were led by a pair of double-doubles by Taijon Graham (10 points, 12 rebounds) and Muktar Mohamed (19 points, 11 rebounds).

Next for Ontario Tech is their home matchup against the Laurentian Voyageurs on Friday night.
