The Ontario Tech women's hockey team opened their OUA season with a 6-3 victory over the Windsor Lancers on Friday night in Windsor.
Six different Ridgebacks scored in the game, with the eventual game-winning goal coming from
Julia Jackson (Uxbridge, Ont.) 15:54 into the second on the power play. Her goal was her first OUA goal.
Also scoring her first OUA goal in the game was
Harrie Jones (Ottawa, Ont.). Transfer
Katie Mikkelsen (Oshawa, Ont.) also scored her first goal as a Ridgeback.
Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) made 32 saves in the win, while Windsor had Holly Borrett and Kristen Swiatochik split time in between the pipes for the Lancers.
Ontario Tech now faces the Western Mustangs in London on Saturday as they wrap up their opening weekend of the 2022-23 season.
