No. 7 ranked Ridgebacks top Paladins in final regular season home match

To wrap up the home portion of OUA conference play, the No. 7 ranked Ontario Tech men's soccer program defeated RMC 2-0 on Sunday.

Christopher Campoli (Woodbridge, Ont.) opened the scoring on a penalty kick in the 67th minute after being taken down in the box. 

To cap off the match, Andrew Ferris (Newmarket, Ont.) headed home a cross by Justin Irwin (Pickering, Ont.) to score his first OUA goal and put the Ridgebacks ahead by two. 
 
Matthew Mattila (Pickering, Ont.) made one save in the clean sheet victory, officially his ninth during his time at Ontario Tech. 

Prior to the match, the graduating class for 2022 was recognized. The 2022 graduates in clude Isaiah Briones-Skeete, Brolin Masuhara, Stavros Karanis, Tyler Sukovski, Matthew Perovic, Justin Irwin, Mattila, Campoli and Jacob Begley. 

The Ridgebacks will now wrap up conference play in North Bay on October 22 against the Nipissing Lakers.
