After their 5-1 win to open the OUA season on Thursday, the Ontario Tech men's hockey team fell 6-1 to the Carleton Ravens on Friday.
Carleton dominated the first period of their home opener finishing it with a 3-0 lead. Parker Aucoin scored two of the three goals, with and Blake Allan adding a single tally.
To start off the second period,
Andrew Suriyuth (Kingston, Ont.) scored the first and only goal for the Ridgebacks. But Carleton answered shortly after with a goal scored by Alex Johnston.
Going into the third, the Ridgebacks pushed hard to make things happen, but couldn't crack Mark Grametbauer who made 26 saves in the Ravens victory. Carleton's Kieran Craig gave them a 5-1 lead in the game's last four minutes, and one minute later James Mayotte turned five into six.
In net,
William Desmarais (Sherbrooke, Que.) made 15 saves in his OUA debut and Ontario tech loss.
The Ridgebacks hit the ice again on October 21 at home to take on McGill.
