OSHAWA, Ont. - After a Thursday night shutout of the RMC Paladins on the road, the Ontario Tech men's hockey team had a rough finish to the first half of their season.
The Queen's Gaels picked up up a 5-1 win to improve to 2-0-1 on the season against the Ridgebacks.
Noah McMullin (Beaver Bank, N.S.) scored the lone Ridgeback goal in the final two minutes of regulation with the game already out of reach.
At the break, Ontario Tech sits second in the east division, currently holding a playoff spot.
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) made 28 saves in the loss for Ontario Tech, while Luke Richardson made 30 in the Gaels win.
The Ridgebacks have the remainder of December off, returning to OUA play on the road against the Nipissing Lakers on January 8.
