Bullion earns first OUA shutout in road win over Paladins

KINGSTON, Ont. - Michael Bullion (Anchorage, Alaska) picked up his first OUA shutout on Thursday night in Kingston.

Ontario Tech men's hockey won 4-0 against the RMC Paladins in their final road game of 2021.

Noah McMullin (Beaver Bank, N.S.) scored his first of the season 13:29 into the first period, with assists to Austin Eastman (Lindsay, Ont.) and Matthew Barron (Yarmouth, N.S.).

Sean Ross (Bracebridge, Ont.) brought the score to 2-0 for the Ridgebacks with help from Nicolas Tardif (Chelsea, Que.) six minutes into the last period.

Barron scored his first OUA goal to push the lead to three at the 11:52 mark of the third, while Tyson McConnell (Pilot Mound, Man.) secured the fourth and final goal for his team with just 20 seconds to go in regulation. 

Bullion saved 20 Paladin shots in his shutout for the Ridgebacks, while Joey May made 28 saves for the Paladins. 

Ontario Tech faces Queen's Gaels on Saturday, Dec. 4 to wrap up their 2021 schedule. The Ridgebacks will then make their return to the ice in January to play the RMC Paladins again.
