OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's hockey team ended their preseason games with a 3-2 loss to the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday afternoon.

Ontario Tech once again received solid performances from their first-year players despite the loss. Forward Matthew Barron (Yarmouth, N.S.) opened the scoring for the Ridgebacks in the first period, and Cameron Hough (Uxbridge, Ont.) tied the game up in the second period with an assist from Brett Harasymuk (Yorkton, Sask.).

Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) was in goal for Ontario Tech.

With exhibition play wrapped up, the Ridgebacks will now set their focus on the start of the OUA regular season when they host the Nipissing Lakers on Nov. 5 for their home opener.
