PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's soccer team secured their second win of the season on Friday night, 2-1 over the Trent Excalibur.
All the action took place in the first half of the game with Ridgeback
Sarah Foster (Oshawa, Ont.) scored the game's first goal in the 14th minute.
Marlene Siwula (Mississauga, Ont.) scored her first career goal and eventual game-winning goal, giving the Ridgebacks a 2-0 lead in the 39th minute.
On the next possession, Shelby Doukogiannis scored Trent's only goal of the night, also in the 39th minute.
Alicia Chisholm (Woodbridge, Ont.) officially took the top spot at Ontario Tech for all-time saves, now sitting with 135 saves in her career.
With only two matches remaining in their OUA season, the Ridgebacks will host Trent for their final home game this Sunday. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m., following our graduating senior ceremony.
