OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's soccer team kept things close, couldn't steal a win against the nationally ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees, falling 3-1 in Ottawa.
After an aggressive start to the second half, Ridgeback
Brogyn Tracey (Milton, Ont.) managed to draw the game 1-1 with a penalty kick at the 52nd minute.
The Gee-Gees quickly changed the pace in the next 15 minutes as Emma Lefebvre and Sadie Sider-Echenberg both scored within eight minutes of each other, bringing the score to 3-1 for Ottawa.
Alicia Chisholm made a total of seven saves during the game. She is now tied with Victoria Savage for the Ridgebacks all-time saves record with 134 saves.
Ontario Tech will get another chance to pick up three points next Friday in Peterborough when they take on the Trent Excalibur.
