OTTAWA, Ont. – After a tough Friday night match against the No. 2 ranked Carleton Ravens, the Ontario Tech men's soccer team bounced back in the second half of the home-and-home series to earn a point in a 0-0 draw on Sunday.
The Ridgebacks came out strong in both the first and second half giving Carleton, who had made easy work of Ontario Tech two nights prior, no easy breaks.
Finishing the game with 13 shots, the Ridgebacks worked hard to keep the ball out of their end, only allowing Carleton six shots during the game.
It was heated on the field, with 14 fouls for Carleton and eight for Ontario Tech.
Matthew Mattila (Pickering, Ont.) made two saves for the Ridgebacks, while Kyle Potter made three for Carleton.
The Ridgebacks will kick-off again on Friday in Peterborough for their game against the Trent Excalibur.
