OSHAWA, Ont. – Ontario Tech women's soccer head coach
Audra Sherman picked up her first OUA victory on Friday night, a 3-2 win over the visiting Carleton Ravens.
The scoring started for Ontario Tech in the 33rd minute when
Sarah Foster (Oshawa, Ont.) took a turnover and made no mistake putting the ball top corner to counter Carleton's opening goal by Chloe Doherty.
Jordan Tortolo (East Gwillimbury, Ont.) scored in the 42nd minute, with her shot being too much and slipping through Ravens' goalkeeper Sophie Ehlebracht's hands.
Michele Dell'Aquila (Thornhill, Ont.) picked up the eventual game-winning goal for Ontario Tech in the 50th minute, prior to Doherty scoring her second of the match in the 87th minute as Carleton tried to make a late push.
Alicia Chisholm (Woodbridge, Ont.) made four saves in the win for the Ridgebacks, while Ehlebracht made five for the Ravens.
The Ridgebacks will now hit the road to face the nationally ranked Gee-Gees in Ottawa this Sunday at 1 p.m.
