OSHAWA, Ont. – Andrew Suriyuth has announced his commitment to the Ontario Tech men's hockey program for 2020.
He comes to the Ridgebacks most recently from the Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL). With the Collingwood Colts and Trenton last season he finished with 23 goals an 57 points in 50 regular season games. Suriyuth then put up five goals and eight points in the postseason.
"Andrew is a great addition to our hockey program," said head coach
Curtis Hodgins. "He's a very skilled hockey player with a nice combination of playmaking and goal-scoring ability. He'll also add some more speed to our forward group. Andrew is a fine young man who will fit in nicely with the character group we have within our program."
The Kingston native previously played for the Kingston Voyageurs from 2016-19, where he finished with 39 goals and 83 points over 145 regular season games, alongside four goals and six points in nine games.
Suriyuth joins
Matthew Barron (Yarmouth Mariners – MHL) and
Evan White (Edmundston Blizzard – MHL) as members of the 2020 recruitment class, with coach Hodgins expected to announce remaining players over the coming months.
