OTTAWA, Ont. – To end what was arguably their toughest week on the OUA schedule, against the first-place Ryerson Rams and Carleton Ravens, the UOIT men's soccer team was blanked 3-0 by the Ravens on Sunday.
Nicholas Miller (Oshawa, Ont.) had a career-high 13 saves in the loss, which was previously set at 12 at home against the Ravens in September.
Carleton's Gabriel Bitar had the lone goal at halftime, but added a second in the final 45 minutes. Stefan Karajovanovic scored the Ravens' second goal, which was assisted by Bitar.
David Monk made two saves for Carleton in the win.
With two games remaining, Wednesday on the road at Queen's and Saturday at home against the Trent Excalibur, the Ridgebacks will need to win and hope for a Laurentian loss to make the playoffs.
The Voyageurs split their weekend at home, ending with a 4-0 win over the RMC Paladins, which put them four points up on UOIT for the sixth spot in the OUA east.
Laurentian finishes their schedule against the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues next weekend in Toronto.
