OSHAWA, Ont. – The UOIT men's soccer team surrendered two goals in the final five minutes of play as the No. 7 ranked Ryerson Rams picked up a 3-1 victory over the Ridgebacks.

This is the fourth straight game UOIT has allowed the game-winning goal in the final fifteen minutes of the match and the third time it has been within the last five minutes. This includes a 3-2 loss to Ryerson where the Rams scored in injury time one week ago in Toronto.

UOIT scored a late goal of their own, as
Davon Greaves (Ajax, Ont.) finished off a cross by
Christopher Jaggarnath (Scarborough, Ont.) in the 83rd minute to tie the game up at 1-1. The Ridgebacks had been pressing for the equalizer for the majority of the second half and their efforts finally paid off.

Misel Klisera and Abdallah El-Chanti were the late goal scorers for Ryerson, scoring in the 88th minute and in injury time as the Rams improved to 7-0-1, tops in the OUA eastern conference.

Raheem Rose got the Rams on the board with two minutes to go in the first half.

Vithuran Karvannathasan (Brampton, Ont.) made his first start in goal for UOIT and made nine saves. Praveen Ahilan stopped five of six Ridgeback shots on goal.
UOIT (2-5-0) will look to put an end to their four-game losing streak next Saturday in Kingston against the Queen's Gaels (3-3-0). UOIT beat Queen's 1-0 in their second conference game of the season.
