OSHAWA, Ont. – Two preseason games, zero goals against.
 
Heading into the fourth season of UOIT women's soccer, defence remains a priority for head coach Peyvand Mossavat. At the conclusion of the preseason, the Ridgebacks look to be in good shape heading into their OUA season opener on Saturday.
 
In Sunday's matinee affair in Hamilton the Ridgebacks blanked McMaster 2-0.
 
The first half of the match was similar to Friday's tilt with Windsor, where the teams went goalless. However, a second half own goal off a cross forced by an attacking Sara Voisin (Waterloo, Ont.) got the Ridgebacks on the board.
 
Cassandra Sribny (Pickering, Ont.), who had seven goals one season ago, added an insurance marker off another cross in the late stages of the game.
 
UOIT will begin OUA regular season play on Saturday, Aug. 29 with their home opener against the Nipissing Lakers set for Vaso's Field at 12 p.m.
 
The Ridgebacks shutout Nipissing (1-0, 4-0) in their two meetings last year.
