Kanku, a first-year communications & digital media studies major, led the Ridgebacks with 27 points in their Friday night loss to the Queen’s Gaels in Kingston. He was 9-for-10 from the free throw in the game and also finished with five boards, a steal and a block. At the end of his, and the program’s, first semester in the OUA he leads the Ridgebacks in scoring with 20.8 points per game (seventh in OUA). He is also top ten in the OUA with 1.9 steals per game.

For the basketball program, they’re off until January when they host the Guelph Gryphons on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at the CRWC.
