Martindale, a forensic psychology major, played a major role in the Ridgebacks offence at the OUA lacrosse championship at Ontario Tech over the weekend. She scored 18 goals over three games, including five goals in the bronze medal game loss to the Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon. Martindale was also named a first team all-star and recognized as the league's offensive MVP this season.
 
The lacrosse team has now concluded their season. This is the second time in program history and first time since 2014 that the Ridgebacks have qualified for the final four.
 
The Ontario Tech student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
