Murphy, a second-year commerce student, produced her best game of the season recoding two points in the Ridgebacks tightly contested road loss versus the Queen's Gaels this past Thursday. Murphy first picked up an assist on Mariah Wilson's (Cobourg, Ont.)) powerplay goal, sending the puck in front of the net for the fifth-year veteran to even the game 1-1 just 90 seconds into the second period. Battling back-and-forth with the Gaels, Murphy then tipped in a powerplay goal of her own at the 7:17 mark of the third period to even the game once again, 3-3. Despite the loss, Murphy proved to be a vital part of the Ridgebacks special teams.
