Alexis Kirton, a criminology and justice studies major, recorded her first career OUA goal this weekend. After being named an OUA east second team all-star as a defender a season ago, Kirton is making the transition to forward where she has quickly proven to be a force up front. In the Ridgebacks Sunday afternoon road contest versus the Toronto Varsity Blues, Kirton scored the milestone marker in the 14th minute of play. Chasing down a long bouncing outlet, she was able to beat the Blues defence to the ball before chipping it over the arms of the Toronto keeper for UOIT's lone goal of the game. In two games this weekend she regitsered five total shots.
