Elser, a first-year criminology and justice studies major, scored the series-clinching goal in the Ridgebacks 4-3 victory over the Queen’s Gaels. Elser took a drop pass from teammate Tyler Mayea (Burlington, Ont.) and fired the puck through the five-hole of former Oshawa General Kevin Bailie. With the win, UOIT won their first-ever playoff series and advanced to the OUA eastern conference semifinals against the UQTR Patriotes.
Tori Campbell, WHKY
Campbell, a third-year criminology and justice studies major, had a 32 save performance in the Ridgebacks 4-3 season finale victory over the No. 4 ranked Toronto Varsity Blues. Campbell was unbeatable in the shootout stopping all three Toronto attempts. The win was the 20th in her career which is an all-time program high.?
