Dan Stewart joined the UOIT Ridgebacks men's hockey program as the goaltending coach in May, 2016.

As a goaltender himself, Stewart spent the 1990's playing junior hockey with the Cobourg Cougars and London Knights before moving onto university hockey where he played over 50 games with Saint Mary's University while earning a degree in business management.

Stewart has plenty of coaching experience under his belt as he was the goaltending coach with the Fairfield University of the ACHA as well as a goalie consultant with St. Lawrence University and Plattsburgh State University of the NCAA.

Most recently before making the move to UOIT, Stewart worked alongside head coach Curtis Hodgins for the Cobourg Cougars.

Dan, a Port Hope resident, lives with his wife Michelene and two children, Julia and Georgia.
