Arnott joins the Ridgebacks with an array of badminton experience both locally and internationally.
??In 2018 he was a member of the organizing committee for the Li-Ning, Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Junior Championship in Markham. He was lead the Integrity Programme for the international athletes (anti match fixing, anti-doping, playing clean) and promoted our national identity through the presentation of the Culture Day (one day event for over 400 international athletes from 50 plus countries sharing and informing Canadian culture and values) as part of this event.
During 2017 he was volunteered for the Pan-Am world junior championship hosted in Markham, working with the head umpire to ensure all facilities, equipment and procedures were in compliance with BWF standards.
?On a local level, he has been Camp Olympia's program director for their annual week of badminton camp from 2000-2019. He also runs professional development for Durham Region teachers with limited facilities (poor or inadequate gym space) for developing badminton skills.
He is also a former competitive junior player within Ontario Badminton Association.
