OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team capped off a perfect weekend at home Saturday night, after earning an 83–77 victory over the Nipissing Lakers at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
Ontario Tech set the tone early, building a double-digit lead in the first half and maintaining control through key stretches of the game. The Ridgebacks were led offensively by
Emmanuel Okonkwo, who finished with a game-high 21 points and 11 rebounds, while
Keon Baker added 20 points and
Mark Stoop recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.
Prior to tip-off, the Ridgebacks honoured the program's graduating seniors in
Jesse Okeke,
Keon Baker,
Peter De La Paz,
Mark Stoop and
Johan Germain, recognizing their contributions to the men's basketball program on and off the court.
Ontario Tech will wrap up its regular season on Friday, February 13 when it heads to Kingston, Ont. to take on the Queen's Gaels.
