SUDBURY, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's soccer team scored three first-half goals on the way to a 3-1 road win over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday afternoon.

Ella Pechkoff opened the scoring in the 13th minute, followed by Tienna Martins seven minutes later. Just before halftime, Abbie Russell buried Ontario Tech's third to give the Ridgebacks a commanding lead.

Laurentian's lone goal came in the 78th minute from Sophia Oommen, assisted by Adriana Primerano.

Goalkeeper Talia Hopkin made one save in the victory as Ontario Tech outshot Laurentian 11-7, including 8-2 on target.

The Ridgebacks will return back to Vaso's Field for Saturday, October 4 when they honour their graduating seniors against the RMC Paladins.
