WATERLOO, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's hockey team wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule with a 2-1 road loss to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday afternoon.
After Waterloo opened the scoring late in the first period, the Ridgebacks answered with strong energy in the second. Mackenna Krulicki buried a power-play marker at 10:48, converting a feed from Madison Deschamps to tie the game 1–1.
Waterloo regained the lead with under two minutes left in the middle frame, and despite outshooting the Warriors 8–6 in the third period, Ontario Tech couldn't find the equalizer.
Zoe McGee stopped 21 shots in the loss, keeping the Ridgebacks within reach throughout the night.
Ontario Tech will return to action on Wednesday, January 7, hosting the Nipissing Lakers at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre to open the second half of the season.
