NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's basketball team dropped a 77–50 decision to the Nipissing Lakers on Friday night.
Ontario Tech kept things close early, trailing 18–16 after the opening quarter, but a big second frame from the Lakers created separation that the Ridgebacks couldn't reel back in. Nipissing outscored the Ridgebacks 26–7 in the second quarter to take control heading into halftime.
Kaleah Gosse led Ontario Tech with 15 points, while Brianna Morrison and Rosheen Antonroy each added eight. The Ridgebacks finished with 23 points off the bench and shot 32.7 per cent from the field.
Ontario Tech continues their northern road swing tomorrow when they visit the Laurentian Voyageurs.
