TORONTO, Ont. – On Halloween night in Toronto, the Ontario Tech women's hockey team came up just short in a tight 2–1 loss to the TMU Bold.
TMU opened the scoring late in the second period when Alizee LeBlanc scored at 18:30. The Bold doubled their lead midway through the third as Kayla Kondo tallied at 11:01, assisted by Maddy Collins. Ontario Tech answered 34 seconds later when Harrie Jones finished a setup from Emily Harrison and Julia Jackson to make it 2–1. Despite a strong push, the Ridgebacks couldn't find the equalizer.
Zoe McGee stopped 25 shots for Ontario Tech, while TMU's Sydney Pyburn made 24 saves. Both teams went 0-for-2 on the power play.
The Ridgebacks return home on Saturday, November 1, to host the Guelph Gryphons at 7 p.m. at the Campus Ice Centre.
