OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's hockey team made a late push but eventually lost to the Guelph Gryphons 4-2 this Saturday night.
The first 2 goals would be given to the Guelph Gryphons to take on a 2-0 lead against the ridgebacks.
The Ridgebacks come back to score a goal to put them right back into the game. Goal was scored by Emily Davis-Tope (Bendigo, Australia) assisted by Lauren Beaulieu (Caistorville, Ont.)
The Gryphon will go on to score another goal but the so will Julianne Davidson ( Courtice, Ont )for The Ridgebacks assisted by Kayla Welk (Barrie, Ont) to put the score at 3-2. With less than a minute remaining, the Ridgebacks pulled their keeper and had a shot bounce of the crossbar three times before going just wide of the net, and leading to a Gryphons empty netter.
The Ridgebacks will be back on the road traveling to London to play
Western Mustangs on January 13.
