WINDSOR, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's basketball team fought hard on Friday night, but fell just short of their second win of season in a 70-58 loss to the Windsor Lancers.
The Ridgebacks were nearly even with the Lancers heading into half trailing 33-30.
Felicity Villarin (Calgary, Alta.) once again led Ontario Tech in scoring with 14 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Elliot Cowan (Chatham, Ont.) had 12 points, and
Allie Dunnett (Sussex, N.B.) had eight points while hitting two three point shots.
The Lancers would eventually find some separation in the fourth quarter behinde 20 points from Julia Chiarot.
The Ridgebacks have one final stop on the road when they take on the Western Mustangs tomorrow at 6 p.m. before finally returning back to Oshawa on Friday, February 2 when the Waterloo Warriors stop at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
