Ravens sweep opening round series over Ridgebacks

The Ontario Tech men's hockey team hit the road on Saturday night to take on the Carleton Ravens in game 2 of their opening round Queen's Cup playoff series. The Ravens defeated the Ridgebacks 4-0 and won the series 2-0.

The Ravens scored once in the first, once in the second and twice in the third in the series-clinching win. Carleton's Mark Grametbauer recorded his second straight shutout victory.

Ridgebacks' goalie William Demarais (Sherbrooke, Que.) finished with 20 saves in Saturday's loss.

With Saturday's loss, the Ridgebacks were eliminated from the playoffs. They will be back in action in September.
