OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's hockey program picked up their second win of the season with a 7-2 route of the York Lions on Friday night, in a preview of the recently announced Tribute Communities Centre game upcoming on January 11.
Alex Drover (Port au Basques, N.S.) got the Ridgebacks on the board in the first period, but after twenty minutes, the game remained tied at one goal a piece.
Sam Gillis (Sydney, N.S) picked up a goal in the second, but the third period saw the offence explode.
Stephen Calisti (Etobicoke, Ont.) netted one early in the frame, followed by
William Robinson (Upper Tantallon, N.S.) who picked up his first OUA goal.
Gabriel Bernier (Victoriaville, Que.) added to the tally, and
Sean Ross (Bracebridge, Ont.) and
Marko Jakovljevic (Brantford, Ont.) would be the final two goals of the evening.
It'll be a quick turn around for the Ridgebacks as they'll be back in action Saturday afternoon against the visiting Waterloo Warriors.
