NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's soccer team fell 3-1 in their OUA playoff match against the Nipissing Lakers.

Priscilla Voulgaris (East York, Ont.) opened the scoring in the 28th minute giving the Ridgebacks a hopeful lead. The match was then tied up by Jennifer Milligan in the 39th minute.

In the second half of play, goaltender Alicia Chisholm (Woodbirdge, Ont.) made a diving stve to keep the Ridgebacks playoff hopes alive, but late in the second half, the Nipissing Lakers were able to find the back of the net in the 76th and 84th minute by Jessica Emmerton and Kennedy Attwell.

The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's team finished the season 5-7-1 overall, but set program highs in goals in a game, and margin of victory. They were also the first Ridgebacks women's soccer side to reach the playoffs since 2019.
