OSHAWA, Ont. – The fifth ranked nationally Ridgebacks men's soccer program stayed undefeated on the season with a 3-0 win over the visiting Trent Excalibur on Sunday afternoon.

With leading scorer, Omar Marzouk (Cairo, Egpyt), sidelined for the game, the Ridgebacks didn't miss a beat as Brett Springer (Bamberg, Ont.) stepped back into the starting line and scored his ninth goal of the season. Noah Laronde (Scarborough, Ont.) followed it up with a goal of his own, and Alex Lewis (Ajax, Ont.) registered his first goal as a Ridgeback after drawing a penalty just before half.

The Ridgebacks will now begin preparing for their toughest stretch of games of the season, with a match up against the Toronto Varsity Blues, who drew 2-2 with the Ridgebacks in their previous meeting, up next on Oct. 5.
