Ridgebacks score three unanswered in bold comeback

The Ontario Tech women's hockey team traveled to Toronto Firday night to take on the TMU Bold. After trailing for most of the contest, the Ridgebacks fought back and took home a 3-2 victory.

The Bold opened the scoring early in the first and doubled their lead five minutes into the second. Ontario Tech would take control from that point on, scoring three unanswered in the final 35 minutes.

Julia Jackson (Uxbridge, Ont.) got the Ridgebacks on the board at the 14:57 mark of the second period, and Melisa Ardanaz (Surrey, B.C.) evened the score at 2 less than a minute later.

The game-winning goal came courtesy of Alyssa Denney (Keswick, Ont.) at the 6:54 mark of the third, her first OUA goal.

Ridgeback's captain Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.) finished with two assists. Ontario Tech goalie Brook Vial (Port Moody, B. C.) recorded 28 saves in Friday's win.

The Ridgebacks' next game will be on Saturday, Jan. 14 at home against the York Lions. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
