The Ontario Tech women's hockey team were unable to stop the Bishop's Gaiters power play on Friday night as the Ridgebacks fell 5-3 at home.

Bishop's was a perfect 3-for-3 on the advantage, using two of their power plays to go ahead 2-0 after a period.

Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.) cut the lead in half 58 seconds into the second. Bishop's answered with their third straight power play goal under five minutes later to get the two-goal lead back.

In the back-and-forth period,
Julia Jackson (Uxbridge, Ont.) scored her first as a Ridgeback to make it 3-2 for the Gaiters, with Bishop's getting another back once in the second to take a 4-2 lead into the break.

Jackson scored once more in the third for Ontario Tech, balanced by a final tally for the Gaiters.

In goal,
Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) made 29 saves for Ontario Tech.

Next up for Ontario Tech is their home preseason game against the Carleton Ravens on Saturday, Oct. 8. Their final game before conference play is the following week on Saturday, Oct. 15 in Waterloo against the Warriors.
