The Ontario Tech women's hockey team picked up a 3-2 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday afternoon to open preseason action.
 
Angharad Jones (Ottawa, Ont.) scored twice, including the game-winning goal in the third period to pace the Ridgebacks offence.
 
Cassandra Delves (Oshawa, Ont.) opened the scoring in the game at the 2:22 mark of the second period.
 
Laurier's Christina McCulloch made the game 2-1 late in the second, while Hayley Szymanowski scored with 10 minutes in regulation to get the Golden Hawks within one again.
 
Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) made 52 saves in the victory for the Ridgebacks, while Acadia Carlson made 23 in the loss.
 
The Ridgebacks are next in action on Thursday, Sept. 22 in North Bay against the Nipissing Lakers.
