Ridgebacks split weekend in Waterloo

Coming off their first win of the season, the Ontario Tech men's basketball team traveled to Waterloo on Saturday night to face the Laurier Golden Hawks. After a back-and-forth three quarters, the Golden Hawks eventually pulled away and defeated the Ridgebacks 79-72.

The Ridgebacks led by five heading into the third quarter and took a 60-59 lead into the fourth. The Golden Hawks outscored Ontario Tech 20-12 to pull away in the final 10 minutes.

Levi Ogbonna (Toronto, Ont.) finished as the game's top scorer with 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Jayden Coke (Ajax, Ont.) also had a strong outing, finishing with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Ridgebacks' next game will be on Friday, Dec 2. against the Toronto Varsity Blues. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
