Box Score In a clash of nationally ranked teams, the No. 6 ranked Ontario Tech Ridgebacks defeated the No. 4 ranked Carleton Ravens 2-0 Friday night in Ottawa.
Christopher Campoli (Woodbridge, Ont.) scored both Ridgebacks goals in the match, starting with the opening goal in the 63rd minute after a goal-less first half.
The Ravens tried to climb back, but were not able to capitalize. Campoli put the game to bed in the 89
th minute to secure three points for the Ridgebacks, chipping a pass from
Adam Klimek (Oshawa, Ont.) over the Carleton keeper.
Matthew Mattila (Pickering, Ont) earned his fifth clean sheet of the season and ninth all-time.
There will be a rematch between the nationally ranked squads next Saturday afternoon at Vaso's Field in Oshawa. Kick-off is slated for 3:15 p.m. .
