The Ontario Tech men's soccer team fell in penalties to the Nipissing Lakers in their OUA quarter-final Saturday night in Oshawa. 
 
Chris Campoli (Woodbridge, Ont) opened the scoring in the 28^th minute after being awarded a penalty shot as he calmly put in into the bottom left corner.
The match remained 1-0 for the Ridgebacks until the 89^th minute. Justin Gomes converted off a set piece to tie the game 1-1.
 
After 30 minutes of extra time the score remained deadlock, as the match headed to penalties.
 
The Lakers beat out the Ridgebacks scoring three of their penalty kicks to the Ridgebacks two.
 
Matthew Mattila (Pickering, Ont) made five saves in the match.
 
This game concludes the Ridgebacks 2022 season.
