The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's hockey team had a decisive 6-1 victory in Kingston on Wednesday night against the RMC Paladins.
It was a quick start to the first period,
Andrew Suriyuth (Kingston, Ont.) pocketed the first goal for the Ridgebacks. Following Suriyuth,
Gabriel Bernier (Victoriaville, Que.) and
James White Peterborough, Ont.) both scored giving the Ridgebacks a three-goal cushion going into the second.
Starting the second period,
Alek Sukunda (Burnaby, B.C.) scored his first OUA goal and only goal for the Ridgebacks that period. Christopher Paquette attempted to give RMC some life scoring their first and only goal before the period wrapped up.
In the third, the Ridgebacks turn four into six. Stephan Calisti (Etobicoke, Ont.) found the back of the net five minutes into the period. Wrapping up the third,
Marko Jakovljevic (Brantford, Ont.) grabbed his first goal of the season and the final goal of the game.
In net,
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) had 26 saves in the victory.
Ontario Tech will now travel to Ottawa on Sunday to wrap up their third week of OUA play in 2022-23.
