OSHAWA, Ont. - Despite strong second half showings defensively, the Ontario Tech women's lacrosse team dropped both games to the Toronto Varsity Blues in their first weekend at home this season.
In the first game of the day, a 14-10 loss,
Brooke Watson (Courtice, Ont.) scored four times and
Caitlyn Cote (Oshawa, Ont.) scored three times and assisted on two goals.
Ayden Briggs (Oshawa, Ont.) rounded out the Ontario Tech scoring with two goals.
The second game ended with the Varsity Blues winning 16-6. Watson led the offence again with two goals and an assist. Cote scored once and assisted once, while
Hannah Bragg (Oshawa, Ont.) added another two goals.
The Ridgebacks will travel to Toronto for a doubleheader against the Varsity Blues on Oct. 9 before heading back to Vaso's Field for another pair of home games against the Queen's Gaels on Oct. 23. Ontario Tech will also be hosting the OUA lacrosse championship on October 30-31.
