Excalibur top Ridgebacks first OUA action since 2019

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks opened their season with a pair of losses when they travelled to Peterborough to face the defending OUA champion Trent Excalibur.
 
The pack were overmatched against Trent's dominant offence and dropped the first game 18-1 and the second 27-1 with Ayden Briggs (Oshawa, Ont.) scoring the lone goal in the opening game, followed by Caitlyn Cote (Oshawa, Ont.) in the second.

Kelsey Cluett (Whitby, Ont.) was in net for the Ridgebacks in both games.

The Ridgebacks will return home for their next game where they'll take on the Toronto Varsity Blues at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Vaso's Field in Oshawa.
