TORONTO, Ont. – Gabrielle De Serres' two assist performance helped the Toronto Varsity Blues secure a 3-0 win over the Ontario Tech women's hockey team on Saturday night.
Natasha Athanasakos opened the scoring for the Varsity Blues at 17:33 of the first period. Two more goals were added in the second period courtesy of Sophie Grawbarger and Francesca Monte.
Both teams combined for 13 powerplays on the night and two of the Varsity Blues' three goals were scored on the man advantage. The Ridgebacks were held to just 18 shots on goal.

Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) had an impressive outing, registering 45 saves in her OUA debut.
Ontario Tech's next game will be on Nov. 19 where they will travel back to Toronto to take on the York Lions.
