KINGSTON, Ont. – There was some déjà vu for the Ontario Tech men's soccer team on Saturday as they finished with in another draw against the Queen's Gaels, this time 1-1. Just two nights prior, their match finished 0-0.
Despite outshooting the Gaels 9-2 in the opening half, the game remained tied 0-0 at halftime.
Christopher Campoli (Woodbridge, Ont.) broke the stalemate in the 49th minute with his second goal of the OUA season.
Unfortunately for the Ridgebacks, who were hoping to pick up three points on the road, Andrea Gortana tied the match for the Gaels in the 64th minute.
Matthew Mattila (Pickering, Ont.) made a total of four saves for the Ridgebacks, while Tyler Gowdy saved six for Queen's.
The men's soccer team returns home to Vaso's Field on Friday, Oct. 15 to face the Carleton Ravens.
