KINGSTON, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's soccer team locked up their playoff spot with a decisive 7-0 win over the RMC Paladins on Sunday, led by
Christopher Campoli's (Woodbridge, Ont.) hat trick.
With a new playoff system in place for the 2021 season, the Ridgebacks earned one of the two wild card positions in the conference and will face the Guelph Gryphons on Wednesday night in their quarter-final match. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
With his three goals, to end the season Campoli will now sit third all-time in Ridgeback men's soccer scoring with 18 goals, trailing his brother Fabio Campoli (19) and Erik Petrovic (20).
Tyler Sukovski (Whitby, Ont.) opened the scoring early in the match, before Campoli stepped up to take a penalty kick, scoring on the rebound. Before the half,
Jordan Melo (Mississauga, Ont.) scored to give Ontario Tech a 3-0 lead at the break.

Jacob Begley (Markham, Ont.) started the scoring early in the second half, before Campoli found the back of the net two more times to complete his hat trick.
Isaiah Briones-Skeete rounded out the scoring for the Ridgebacks.
