OSHAWA, Ont. - Three second period goals lifted the Queen's Gaels to a 4-3 victory over the Ontario Tech women's hockey team on Friday night.
Nicole Escano (Kingston, Ont.) opened the scoring against her hometown university, but the Gaels scored evened the game midway through the first.
Blaire Allison (Pickering, Ont.) put the Ridgebacks up 2-1 heading into the intermission with her goal 16:10 into the first.Â
Queen's scored three unanswerd in the second before Escano closed out the Ridgeback scoring with just under five minutes remaining in the third.Â
Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) made 31 saves in the Ridgebacks loss, while Makenzy Arsenault made 29 in the Queen's victory.
Ontario Tech wraps up preseason play on Saturday on the road against the Brock Badgers.
