Warriors hit buzzer beater to hand Ridgebacks heartbreaking loss

WATERLOO, Ont. – Kanayo Nnadi's last-second basket lifted the Waterloo Warriors to a 75-74 victory over the Ontario Tech men's basketball team in their second game of the Naismith Classic in Waterloo.

Kahleek Bakare-Whyte (Toronto, Ont.) put the Ridgebacks ahead 74-72 with nine seconds remaining, but unfortunately a made free-throw by Jayden Grewal and Nnadi's buzzer beater put them over the top.

Waterloo was led by Justin Malnerich's 26 points and a double-double by Nedim Hodzic who dropped 21 points with 12 boards.
